Environmental Health & Safety Manager
Job Summary
This position manages the coordination and execution of EHS projects and other duties as assigned. Reporting to the Vice President of Facilities Services, the Environmental Health and Safety Manager will support the development of EHS policies and the implementation and administration of the College's Environmental Health and Safety Program.
Essential Responsibilities
Policy Development and Coordination of Tasks
- Occupational safety includes Hazardous Communications, Ergonomics, Bloodborne Pathogens, Respiratory Protection, Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Defensive Driving, First Aid/CPR, Fire Safety, Fall Protection, and Forklift Training.
- Supports the development and administration of Environmental, Health and Safety policies, programs and training that include Occupational Safety and Environmental Safety standards as appropriate.
Coordination of Audits, Inspections and Training
- Coordinates and delivers support and training for a wide range of Health and Safety concerns.
- Directs/Supervises campus safety inspections for all facilities and laboratories to identify recognized safety hazards/loss exposures.
Conducts Inspections and Trainings
- Inspection of Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarms, AEDs, First Aid kits, Campus Blue Light poles.
- Provides Office ergonomic assessments to employees.
Experience and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in the safety or health fields.
