Overview

All coursework applied to the doctoral degree must carry graduate credit.

The Environmental Science doctoral degree at University of Oklahoma requires at least 90 post-baccalaureate hours, including both formal coursework and hours of research.

Features

The minimum hour requirement for a specific doctoral degree program cannot be waived.
No more than one-half of the credit hours, both OU and overall, excluding Research for Doctoral Dissertation (6980), may be S/U-graded coursework.

Curriculum

The student must be in residence at OU for at least two consecutive 16-week semesters during the pursuit of the doctoral degree while enrolled and engaged in coursework or research activities as prescribed by the major academic unit.

Three letters of recommendation are required. Applicants will be instructed to enter the name and email address of each recommender in the application. The recommender will then be sent an email with a link to upload a letter of recommendation.
A Resume is required. Please include information related to your educational and professional background, such as positions held, honors and awards, honors research topic and any presentations or publications.
A statement of purpose is required.

International: 15,627 AUD / year (approximately 11,128 USD / year). Out-of-State: 15,627 AUD / year (approximately 11,128 USD / year). Domestic In-State: 5,530 AUD / year (approximately 3,938 USD / year).

Living Costs

Norman, United States: 1,264-1,966 AUD / month. The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
