Specific Responsibilities

• Maintain all assigned offices, public areas, classrooms, and hallways in a clean, neat, and orderly condition.
• Sweep and wet mop all assigned restrooms in residence halls, classroom buildings, and office buildings.
• Sweep assigned building entryways and maintain their cleanliness to a distance of fifteen feet from each entrance.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and supply closets in a neat and orderly condition. Maintains inventory daily.
• Lock doors; close and lock windows; turn out lights.
• Report emergency repairs to the Facilities Management office; report general needed repairs to the foreman.
• Maintain complete familiarity with safety rules and procedures in the performance of assigned duties.
• Maintain complete familiarity with operation and basic maintenance of job-related equipment and supplies.
• Understand and follow all safety rules.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally sound workplace.
• Contributes to the overall success of facilities management and the university by performing other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience: No experience necessary. Requires two to three weeks of thorough on-the-job training to become competent.
