ERA Business Analyst III
Job Summary
The Electronic Research Administration (eRA) Business Analyst III serves as a functional expert in research administration and compliance, providing independent leadership to support and continuously improve the University’s eRA ecosystem. Partners closely with research administration offices and system stakeholders to analyze business processes, interpret policy and regulatory requirements, and ensure that system functionality and reporting accurately support institutional needs during implementation and throughout long-term sustainment. Leads functional analysis, reporting, and data quality efforts for research systems with a high degree of autonomy, serving as a key liaison between end users, system teams, and leadership. Identifies operational risks, validates data accuracy, supports compliance monitoring, and drives continuous improvement once systems are in production.

Serves as a functional expert in research administration and compliance, providing independent leadership to support and continuously improve the University’s electronic research administration (eRA) ecosystem. Partners closely with research administration offices and system stakeholders to analyze business processes, interpret policy and regulatory requirements, and ensure that system functionality and reporting accurately support institutional needs during implementation and long-term sustainment. Leads functional analysis, reporting, and data quality efforts for research systems, operating with a high degree of autonomy and serving as a key liaison between end users, system teams, and leadership. Plays a central role in identifying operational risks, validating data accuracy, supporting compliance monitoring, and driving continuous improvement once systems are in production. Supports research and compliance solutions including, but not limited to, grants, agreements, conflict of interest disclosures, animal operations, IACUC, biosafety, and related research administration systems.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience supporting or working with Electronic Research Administration (eRA) systems; OR master's degree and two (2) years of experience supporting or working with Electronic Research Administration (eRA) systems.
