About the ERA Chair Opportunity

The ERA Chair holder will establish and lead a high-level research team focused on advancing frontier research and innovation in areas aligned with LAMMC’s strategic priorities, including but not limited to:

Sustainable agriculture and climate-smart farming
Forestry and ecosystem resilience
Soil health and carbon sequestration
Plant genetics and breeding
Agroecology and biodiversity
Digital and precision agriculture
Bioeconomy and circular resource use
Climate change adaptation and mitigation

The selected ERA Chair holder will contribute to:

Strengthening scientific excellence and international competitiveness at LAMMC
Building interdisciplinary and international research collaborations
Attracting competitive European and international funding
Mentoring early-career researchers and fostering talent development
Enhancing knowledge transfer, innovation, and stakeholder engagement

Candidate Profile
