New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a ERP Specialist, Financial Systems reporting to Associate Director, Business Enterprise Applications and Data.
The ERP Specialist, Financial Systems provides day-to-day operational support for Oracle PeopleSoft Financials, ensuring stable, accurate, and timely system performance. This role focuses on ticket-based support, issue resolution, and user assistance to support core financial operations. The position works closely with finance, IT, and functional stakeholders to maintain system reliability and data integrity.
The ERP Specialist will perform system audits to ensure data integrity and also assist with the administration of related functionality. This role requires systems analysis to be performed and operational support. Assist and maintain custom and ad hoc reports. Provide end-user training.
This position works with Portfolio managers and technical teams to identify business process improvements, define and analyze requirements, identify potential solutions and interface with the teams to implement the selected solution.
Key Responsibilites:
- Operational ERP Support: Deliver ticket-based support for Oracle PeopleSoft Financial modules, including issue triage, analysis, resolution, and follow-up. Monitor and resolve system errors, data discrepancies, and user access issues in accordance with service level expectations
- Perform Root Cause Analysis and System Improvements: Investigate reported issues to determine underlying causes and implement appropriate configuration adjustments or process corrections to prevent recurrence
- Partner with finance functional teams to clarify requirements and promote effective system utilization. Coordinate with technical teams, vendors, and external providers on escalated matters, and assist with testing and validation of patches, fixes, and minor enhancements
- Maintain Documentation and Ensure Compliance
- Document incidents, solutions, and recurring trends to support knowledge management and continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to internal controls, security standards, and audit requirements related to ERP systems
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting ERP financial systems in a production environment
- Demonstrated experience providing operational, ticket-based application support
- Working knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft Financials
- Experience supporting financial business processes such as general ledger, accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, and commitment control etc.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer support skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
