Position Purpose
Supports Geisel's program evaluation and assessment functions to ensure the principles and standards for excellence set forth by the Office of Evaluation and Assessment in the Geisel School of Medicine are being met. Manages evaluation processes and software platforms as well as supports assessment activities across all phases of the MD program. Develops reporting to support evaluation of courses and clerkships and for faculty promotion.

- 3-5 years of experience
- Ability to set priorities and to make independent decisions within the scope of program guidelines
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfort with public speaking
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and competency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in performing duties
- Flexibility and adaptability and initiative
- Ability to deal effectively with divergent points of view
- Knowledge of basic statistics
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn program evaluation, learning assessment, and undergraduate medical education
- Organizational, problem solving, and synthesizing skills
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Tact, diplomacy, and respect for confidentiality
- Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience in evaluation and assessment or a related field
- Bachelor's degree
- Expertise in exam and digital-learning platforms
- Familiarity with medical education terminology
- Knowledge of assessment systems
- Experience with SharePoint
- Strong software and technical background

Description
Evaluation
- Manages, designs and assigns course, faculty and student evaluation assignments related to the MD program
- Develops and assembles reports based on varying specifications for Phase 1 courses, Phase 2 clerkships, and Phase 3 sub-internships, and electives
- Develops and creates reports, including Medical Education Committee (MEC) review reports, end-of-year curriculum reports, and others
- Coordinates and supports all focus group efforts
- Communicates with faculty regarding the OASIS evaluation system, including importing new users, creating "How to" presentations/videos, and leading instructional meetings
- Troubleshoots issues in OASIS and serves as a consultant to other teams and individuals
- Serves as a core member of the OASIS Oversight Committee, providing expertise in assessment and evaluation system processes
- Supports Course and Clerkship Review processes, communicating with participants, scheduling meetings, booking rooms, attending meetings and providing summaries afterwards

Assessment
- Updates and manages the E&A SharePoint site (e.g., checking permissions, updating folders, and organizing documents including assessment Toolkits)
- Updates tagging of exams in ExamSoft
- Runs assessment reports (e.g., the Strength & Opportunity report)
- Serves as proctor or Chief Proctor for exams, as needed
- Serves as backup for the Senior Assessment Specialist in creating and drafting benchmark, final and retest exams, among other tasks
- Works with curricular leaders to develop and manage the accurate delivery of Student Performance Evaluations in Phase 1, 2, and 3
- Provides exam support including for delayed exams, accommodations, and remote testing

Administrative Support
- Provides administrative support for the Geisel Assessment Oversight Committee (GAOC) meetings and Grade Appeal Response Team (GART), developing meeting agendas, documenting decisions, and following up on action items
- Supports the Evaluation and Assessment team's various focus group efforts by coordinating room reservations, updating calendars, and acting as liaison with students
