Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Event Logistic Technician plays a vital role in supporting and executing the logistical needs of events hosted by our organization. This position is responsible for the physical setup and breakdown of event spaces, maintaining structure, cleanliness, and organization of event venues and the event services warehouse, and overseeing inventory of equipment and supplies. The Event Logistics Technician will also serve as the lead staff member during events, supervising student employees and support staff, and working directly with clients to ensure their event needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead the setup and breakdown of events according to client specifications and established safety protocols.
- Ensure event spaces are consistently clean, organized, and safe before, during, and after events.
- Manage and maintain inventory of event-related equipment, furniture, and supplies within the warehouse and storage areas.
- Track and coordinate the use and condition of equipment to ensure availability for scheduled events.
- Supervise, train, and support student employees and part-time support staff assigned to Event Services.
- Meet with the Director and Assistant Director to review event plans, staffing needs, and provide updates on team performance.
- Act as the lead on-site staff member during events, serving as the primary contact for clients to ensure their logistical and service needs are met.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to support efficient and effective event execution.
- Maintain a working knowledge of basic audiovisual (AV) and information technology (IT) systems relevant to event operations.
- Perform physical tasks related to event setup, including lifting or moving equipment (up to 50 lbs), and standing or walking for extended periods.

Required:
- High School graduate or equivalent. Must have the ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English and Spanish. Prior experience in event logistics, facilities management, or related field.
- The Events Logistic Technician should have 1–2 years of experience in event setup, coordination, or facility operations, with some background in leading or supervising staff or volunteers. A basic understanding of event logistics, equipment handling, and customer service is also required.
- Employees driving an LC motor vehicle must have a valid Texas Drivers License

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- The Event Logistic Technician should possess strong time management, organizational, and communication skills, along with basic knowledge of event setup.
- inventory management, and AV/IT systems.
- They must also demonstrate leadership in supervising staff, provide excellent customer service, and be physically capable of performing hands-on tasks safely and efficiently.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work is performed in a standard office environment.
Work inside a well-lighted and air-conditioned area most of the time.
