Exam Proctoring Coordinator
Position Summary
The Exam Proctoring Coordinator will help coordinate all aspects of testing services for those needing proctoring outside of normal class time. This would include students registered with disabilities as required by law and courtesy make-up exams for students who need to take exams due to University-approved absences. This position helps provides oversight and coordination of the proctoring services between faculty and staff across the colleges, LSS and ODS employees, Athletics, and students, providing a secure service to ensure academic integrity and student support.
This is a full time, 9-month position that reports to the Senior Exam Proctoring Coordinator in Learning Support Services. Scheduling flexibility will be required during peak exam periods. Regular hours will be MWF 9:00 AM-5:00 PM and T/R 11:00 AM-7:00 PM to manage program operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Senior Exam Proctoring Coordinator of Learning Support Services, help with all functioning aspects of the accommodated testing, including scheduling, processing, and communicating to establish a supportive environment for student success.
- Coordinate services between faculty, students, LSS and other university staff. Establish and maintain a working relationship with individual faculty and staff members in the provision of accommodated testing services.
- Communicate appropriately with staff, faculty, and students.
- This involves email and phone communication with faculty, completion of ClockWork forms, clarifying professor instructions and the arrangements for secure delivery of exams.
- Perform basic technical support to fix issues related to the technology used for accommodated testing.
- Demonstrate an understanding of testing requirements, perform quality and security checks of all exams prior to examination time, and oversee a secure exam environment and return of exams.
- Assist in hiring, training, and supervising exam proctoring student staff.
- Help scheduling all testing and coordinating proctors, scribes, and reader schedules.
- Process interdepartmental forms using Banner record system and Clockwork Management System.
- Understand and explain department and university policies and procedures regarding accommodations and exam proctoring.
- Answer questions from students, staff and faculty regarding test proctoring, accommodations, and note taking assistance.
- Compile and maintain confidential files of disability documentation and tests.
- Provide ongoing testing data reports to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
