$48,500.00 - $60,000.00 / year (Excellent benefit package including retirement and health insurance is available)

The College has various unique programs including Aviation Technology (Flight), Aviation Maintenance Technology, Park Ranger Law Enforcement Academy (PRLEA), and the Paleontology Plan of Study. We also offer great opportunities for our students in Nursing, Dental Hygiene, and Automotive Technology. The college provides AA, AS, AAS, and certificate programs so students have excellent choices in their degree plans. Additionally, we provide a BAS in Dental Hygiene.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Executive Assistant to the Sr. Vice President of Academic Affairs manages the schedule, administrative and operational affairs for the Sr. Vice President and the Office of Academic Affairs. This position will oversee, and implement key instructional processes related to faculty and students. The Executive Assistant to the Sr. Vice President of Academic Affairs will provide support to leadership to assist faculty in creating and implementing effective learning strategies as well as performs a broad range of professional functions to achieve organizational goals and objectives which align with the Mission and Vision of CNCC.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Provide high level professional support to the Sr. Vice President of Academic Affairs.
  • Coordinate, support and implement key academic processes such as faculty contracts (FLAC), instructional scheduling and course room assignments. Work with the Department of Human Resources to upload Faculty Load and Compensation (FLAC) for all hourly and regular faculty contracts.
  • Assist with planning and coordination to produce both departmental and college-wide events as needed.
  • Provide administrative assistance and coordination for College Deans. Serve as liaison between Sr. Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Deans, faculty and the Department of Institutional Effectiveness to collect and prepare reports for assessment and reporting.
  • Assist in resolving administrative issues relating to instruction. Trouble-shoot, refer or resolve student issues to the appropriate Dean as needed.
  • Work with the Deans and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs to manage faculty professional development funds and programing, as well as manage faculty sabbatical applications.
  • Working with the Deans to schedule full-time faculty to teach CO@ courses as a part of their load or overload.
  • Support full-time faculty and adjuncts teaching CO@ courses.
  • Act as resource for faculty and other staff in matters affecting instruction.
  • Work with the Deans to aid in the supervision of course schedules.
  • Manage and maintain course schedules in Banner and maintain classroom assignments.
  • Assist in written communication and information dissemination regarding instruction.
  • Participate in related events and activities such as Honors, Commencement, program graduations, as well as college academic and cabinet events.
  • Work with the Office of the President, the Foundation Office, Human Resources, Athletics, Student Services departments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Vice President of Academic Affairs and/or the Deans.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

This job requires any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and/or experience as indicated below:

1. Education and Training:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Higher Education or related field. A combination of an Associates Degree and 2+ years in a similar field may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors degree

2. Prior Related Experience:

A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar position.

3. Licensure/Certification:

Valid driver license

4. Other Qualifications:

a) Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Heavy emphasis on knowledge and use of Excel
b) Excellent interpersonal skills, both in-person and on the phone with a positive and professional demeanor. Must also possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills
c) Time management skills and the ability to multi-task
