Pacific University Oregon seeks an experienced and visionary executive dean of the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (CHRS) and invites applications, expressions of interest, and nominations of candidates for this role.
The university is a multicultural learning community offering a unique combination of programs in the arts and sciences, education, business, optometry, and health professions. Pacific's leadership is ready to meet the current challenges in higher education with a wide range of programs and creative curricula.
The incoming executive dean should be a strong communicator with superb management skills who possesses a collaborative and open leadership style. In addition, the executive dean of the CHRS should value Pacific's mission and its focus on facilitating the success of student in an opportunity university context.
The College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences offers programs at both the Forest Grove and Hillsboro campus locations. Programs in Hillsboro are in the heart of the Hillsboro Health and Education District and focus on interprofessional education and practice. The programs within the college include: Audiology, Dental Health Science, Medical Science, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training, Physician Associate, and Communication Sciences and Disorders with a mix of doctorate, masters, and professional degrees and licensure.
In July of 2022, the university welcomed Dr. Jenny Coyle as the institution's 18th president. Her goals for Pacific include raising its standing on a regional and national stage, increasing enrollment, and ensuring the university remains on strong financial footing.
