UOW has a strong track record in scientific excellence, industry collaboration, and widening participation in higher education.
Subsequent to our launching of a new strategy Vision 2035, we are now seeking an Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences. Reporting to the Provost and sitting on the Vice-Chancellor's senior executive team, the Executive Dean will provide comprehensive strategic and operational leadership for the Faculty, in alignment with UOW's Strategic Plan.
The successful candidate will bring an international research profile, demonstrated academic leadership at a senior level, and a clear understanding of the current higher education environment. They will have the ability to work effectively with industry and government partners, and will bring a genuine commitment to teaching quality and student outcomes. An entrepreneurial approach to identifying opportunities - across education, research, and engagement, domestically and internationally - will be important, as will experience leading across disciplines. We are seeking someone with a genuine commitment to diversity and inclusion, and the ambition to build on the Faculty's existing efforts to create an inclusive and high performing culture.
