Executive Director of Regional Advancement for Eastern Region
Position Purpose
The Executive Director is responsible for individually securing and stewarding restricted and unrestricted gifts from assigned individuals capable of making $500,000+ gifts in support of Dartmouth College’s institutional priorities with key alumni and parents in the region, while leading the regional team to secure and steward gifts of $100,000+ averaging ~$25M-$35M a year in restricted gifts and ~$10M-$15M a year in Annual Fund gifts. Develops and executes on a regional philanthropy strategy in the region, working across multiple departments in development to coordinate a comprehensive plan for annual, leadership, and principal gifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10 years of fundraising and fundraising management experience with a successful track record as a leader, manager, and strategist in a complex organizational environment, preferably in higher education
- Demonstrated experience soliciting and closing seven-figure gifts
