Job Title: Executive Director of Statewide Workforce Partnerships (Livingston, Texas)

Responsibilities: TYPE OF POSITIONThe Executive Director reports to the AVP of Statewide Partnerships and will play a critical leadership role in driving strategic statewide workforce development initiatives and building strong, collaborative partnerships with employers, educational institutions, state agencies, and community organizations across the State of Texas (excluding Orange County). The Executive Director will be responsible for executing LSCO’s vision for partnerships and program development that meet the needs of the state and the evolving demands of the job market. This role requires a strong focus on employer and statewide agency engagement and will be expected to foster robust connections that benefit both job seekers and employers.RESPONSIBILTIES· The Executive Director is responsible for strategic leadership, including overseeing planning and development, assessing workforce/employment needs, and advocating for supportive policies.· Lead partnership development by building relationships with employers/statewide agencies and educational resources, facilitating work-based learning, and seeking/securing grant funding opportunities.· Program oversight in directing the implementation and evaluation, managing budgets, and utilizing data for decision-making.· Team leadership includes recruiting, inspiring, and evaluating staff.
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONSEducationRequires a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. Doctorate degree preferred.EXPERIENCERequires a minimum of four years’ progressive administrative experience with at least three years at a higher administrative level. Texas Community college, lower division, or two-year college experience required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESEssential skills include strong interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities as well as experience in partnership management, business acumen, excellent communication, project management, and data analysis skills.Skills and abilities in the following areas: persuasion and negotiation; interpersonal relations; confidentiality; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to handle multiple assignments at any given time; ability to work with and respond to various and diverse concerns of internal and external constituencies, in a helpful and sensitive manner, to questions and concerns; ability to work with culturally diverse populations; ability to plan, organize, and direct programs; to make major decisions; to budget funds; and to maintain effective working relationships with administrative personnel of other state and local agencies. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSNormal ambulatory requirement; extreme cognitive skills required; advanced speech-communication required; advanced written communication required; acute visual requirements; normal or corrected hearing required; and normal travel frequently. Requires constant sitting, walking, and seeing. Requires frequent standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects up to 25 pounds; operating a calculator, personal computer, and various office equipment. Requires infrequent stooping, bending, sorting and filing.
