Departmental Required Skills:
High school diploma with two years of specialized training and/or education in environmental education, horticulture, or agriculture are desirable.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
Environmental education and/or horticulture/agriculture background.
Knowledgeable in creating documents with word processing and spreadsheet programs, good organizational and people skills, and a willingness to learn. Pond management, irrigation management, agriculture and agriculture equipment experience is a plus.
Necessary Licenses or Certifications:
Applicant must have a valid North Carolina driver's license and comply with Onslow County insurance regulations (applicants must not have more than 3 points over a 3-year period nor have any DWI convictions, and a reliable personal vehicle for travel.
