F01774-2024-199 Tenure-Track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering
We invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level commencing January 1, 2027 or earliest thereafter, in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, or a cognate area, with the proven ability for excellence in both teaching and research. This position is in the area of Mechatronic Systems Engineering, preferably with expertise in one or more of the following; micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), sensing and instrumentation, dynamics and control, robotics and automation, and mechatronics-related sub-disciplines of Biomedical Engineering. The successful candidate would be required to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop undergraduate laboratories, conduct research, initiate collaborative R & D with industry, supervise graduate students and participate in other educational, scholarly and professional activities. The successful candidate may be expected to work collaboratively with other professors in course and program development employing new educational technologies. The successful candidate will be expected to register as a professional engineer in Newfoundland and Labrador.
