Under the leadership of the Program Manager, Facilitator will assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the LEI program including, but not limited to: outreach, recruitment, and retention of Worcester's youth. Candidate must be a supportive, willing, positive, and energetic participant in the implementation of the outcome measurement system.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and nurture a positive youth development culture.
- Communicate and plan with the Program Staff on a regular basis, keeping them informed of all activity within the program relating to logistics, participants, staff and partners.
- Maintain accurate records of monitoring and evaluation tools, attendance, directory, and assessments for all participants.
- Meet weekly with the Program Staff and program team to coordinate staffing, enrollment changes and curriculum modifications.
- Assist the Instructor in providing up-to-date monthly program highlights such as photos, success stories, etc. to Digital Artist for social media posting.
- Assist the Instructor to ensure the appropriate implementation and coordination of field trips, guest speakers, and optional program offerings (Family Academies).
- Participate in required trainings, workshops, conferences or other aspects of professional development including funder sponsored events.
- Serve as a mandated reporter, reporting any suspicion of child abuse or neglect in collaboration with the Executive Director and any compliance procedures for follow-through.
- Other duties as assigned, including supporting other staff and representing the organization upon assignment.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and record keeping.
- Ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences, both in writing and verbally.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to positive youth development.
- Success in prioritizing and meeting multiple demands and deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to work collaboratively, manage own work and time, and be accountable for performance.
- Alignment and agreement with the vision, mission, and values of the Latino Education Institute.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or 3 year of experience working with persons from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.
- Reliable access to transportation.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
