Job Description Summary:
To oversee the Facilities Information System department and lead a team that develops, manages, and maintains the department's Geographic Information System (GIS), Building Information Model (BIM), photo documentation, space information, and archival facilities document database.

Description of Duties and Tasks
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the onboarding, development, and management of full-time, student intern, and contract staff to support the Facilities Information Systems department.
- Project planning for GIS implementation within Facilities & Construction and with other ACC departments.
- Maintains facility data in BIM format while ensuring the integrity of the electronic CAD files on the server.
- Provides comprehensive drawing support for projects and campus operations by generating sketches, preparing reproductions of existing drawings, and developing building evacuation plans.
- Manages and updates the space database, calculating square footage from architectural plans, verifying space dimensions in AutoCAD, and assigning room usage based on THECB codes.
- Manages document organization by maintaining a structured cloud filing system, researching archived documents, and overseeing access to file sharing.
- Development and maintenance of design guidelines and construction standards as it relates to wayfinding and building/space naming convention.
- Supports the Project Management team by participating in signage and wayfinding meetings, maintaining GIS records of construction sites and real estate documents, and creating temporary signage, map overlays, and site plans for construction projects.
- Documents as-built conditions by capturing 360-degree and drone images/videos of spaces or buildings, maintaining these visuals post-renovation or site changes, and managing access control for a cloud-based image/video sharing platform.
- Supports, participates, develops and/or leads presentations within ACC and/or at external conferences.
- Participates in internal and external organizations to keep up with new methods and technology and stay on top of all innovations of FIS related work
Knowledge

- Principles and practices of residential and commercial architecture and construction techniques.
- Principles and practices used in advanced AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe software operation and application.
- Building construction codes and standards.
- Methods of calculating areas within buildings and properties and field recording measurements.
- Understanding different space use types and demonstrating the ability to define a space graphically and descriptively.
- Understanding processes of space changes and room numbering, and all facilities information that is tied to that information.
- Principles and practices of project management as an individual working on a project, and managing a team on group projects.
- Understanding how to visualize a space in a digital presentation in order to capture all surrounding information and relay that information to an audience.

- Drone Certified with applicable flying experience
Required Work Experience
- Two years related work experience including one year supervisory experience.
- Completion of the ACC Supervisor Certificate Program will substitute for one year supervisory experience.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.
- Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.

Salary Range (PG 125)
$76,693 - $95,866
