Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of maintenance operations across multiple campuses. This position provides full supervisory oversight of maintenance staff through Lead positions and is accountable for work execution, staff performance, and service delivery.
The Manager establishes work priorities, ensures accountability at the Lead level, and maintains consistent maintenance operations across all campuses. This position has full authority over operational and personnel decisions related to maintenance functions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations Management
- Oversee maintenance operations across all campuses through Maintenance Leads.
- Establish daily and weekly work priorities and ensure completion of assigned tasks.
- Manage work order systems, service requests, and maintenance scheduling.
- Ensure preventative maintenance programs are implemented and followed.
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues and coordinate resolution.
Supervision & Leadership
- Directly supervise two Maintenance Leads and indirectly supervise maintenance staff (total of six staff).
- Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and corrective action.
- Set expectations for Leads and hold them accountable for team performance and output.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate vendors performing maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure work is completed according to scope, schedule, and safety requirements.
- Verify completion and quality of contracted services.
Work Order & Service Delivery
- Oversee intake, prioritization, and completion of maintenance requests.
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up with campus stakeholders.
- Maintain service level expectations across campuses.
Coordination
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Events & Operations, Security, and IT.
- Ensure maintenance work aligns with campus operations and scheduled activities.
Supplies, Equipment & Budget Support
- Monitor maintenance supplies, materials, and equipment needs.
- Assist with procurement and inventory tracking.
- Provide input to the Director on operational needs and budget priorities.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain required documentation for inspections and audits.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree in facilities management, engineering, construction management, business, or a related field OR
- Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in facilities construction, or operations in lieu of a degree
- Two (2) years of experience in facilities, construction, maintenance, or operations
- Supervisory experience required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in multi-campus or higher education environments
- Experience supervising through lead staff
- Experience with work order systems and vendor coordination
- Relevant trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Travel between campuses required
- Combination of field and office work
- Occasional off-hours response for urgent issues
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Salary Range: Anticipated salary range is $75,000.00 annually. This salary is determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information. CCA offers an excellent benefit plan, including generous leave, holiday, and education benefits.
