Department Information
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, service-oriented, and able to manage multiple facility needs in a dynamic campus environment. The successful candidate will serve as a reliable point of contact for building operations, coordinate service needs and follow-up, execute event setup and breakdown for a multi-use facility, maintain records, work effectively with campus partners and vendors, and use a variety of software systems to support daily operations.
Job Summary
Facilitate and coordinate building operations within an assigned facility. Includes coordination of building maintenance and repairs, office moves, delivery and installation of furniture and equipment., building access control and deliveries. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: building occupants and visitors, department heads, contractors and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: contractors, vendors and visitors. This position will supervise: NA.
Responsibilities
- Job Duty 1 - Manage building maintenance functions (both routine and emergency); ensure activities are carried out in a complete and timely manner.
- Job Duty 2 - Coordinate annual equipment inventory and maintain related records
- Job Duty 3 - Manage and update emergency preparedness plan for facility(facilities) and all related documents and procedures
- Job Duty 4 - Perform other duties as assigned
- Job Duty 5 - Arrange for office moves within facility; ensure they are carried out as scheduled
- Job Duty 6 - Coordinate delivery and installation of building equipment
- Job Duty 7 - Maintain building access control system including card entry and office key management
- Job Duty 8 - Facilitate arrangements of special events scheduled for facility
- Job Duty 9 - Order building repair services as needed
- Job Duty 10 - Coordinate outside vendor/contractor services
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Other Required Qualifications
Valid Georgia Driver's License Work involves adherence to applicable safety precautions. Typically requires lifting objects up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods of time.
Required Experience
Three to five years job related experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Skills
This job requires skills in organization, communications, staging operations, general building maintenance processes, and scheduling. Use of office-related computer applications is required.
