Department Information
Established in 1990, the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts is a pioneer of liberal arts education and research at the nexus of the technical and human sciences. Job Summary
Facilitate and coordinate building operations within an assigned facility. Includes coordination of building maintenance and repairs, office moves, delivery and installation of furniture and equipment., building access control and deliveries. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: building occupants and visitors, department heads, contractors and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: contractors, vendors and visitors. This position will supervise: NA.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 - Manage building maintenance functions (both routine and emergency); ensure activities are carried out in a complete and timely manner.
Job Duty 2 - Manage and update emergency preparedness plan for facility(facilities) and all related documents and procedures
Job Duty 3 - Perform other duties as assigned
Job Duty 4 - Arrange for office moves within facility; ensure they are carried out as scheduled
Job Duty 5 - Coordinate delivery and installation of building equipment
Job Duty 6 - Maintain building access control system including card entry and office key management
Job Duty 7 - Facilitate arrangements of special events scheduled for facility
Job Duty 8 - Order building repair services as needed
Job Duty 9 - Coordinate outside vendor/contractor services
Job Duty 10 - Coordinate annual equipment inventory and maintain related records
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Other Required Qualifications
Valid Georgia Driver's License Work involves adherence to applicable safety precautions. Typically requires lifting objects up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods of time.

Three to five years job related experience

This job requires advanced working knowledge of building operations and general maintenance requirements. Skills in customer service, communications, contractor relations, building security and safety, and records maintenance are required, as is the use of office-related computer applications.

Knowledge/Abilities
- Manage building services and maintenance functions (both routine and emergency); in coordination with the area maintenance team. Ensure activities are reported and carried out in a complete and timely manner. Order, track all building repair, landscape, janitorial, and pest control services as needed.
- Maintain occupancy data, conduct building walkthroughs, generate reports, request services and follow through for the completion.
- Arrange for relocation, surplus and office moves within the facilities; ensure they are carried out as scheduled
- Coordinate delivery and installation of building equipment
- Maintain the building safety and access control system including card entry and office key services and requests
- Facilitate arrangements of special events scheduled for facility
- Coordinate outside vendor/contractor services to support service requests
- Coordinate annual facilities equipment inventory and maintain related records (excluding IT/AV inventory).
- Manage and update emergency preparedness plan for facility (facilities) like Red Book, COOP and all related documents and procedures
- Manage and coordinate IAC Fleet vehicle services- maintain, permit, registration, PM services, reservations etc.
Skills
- This job requires skills in organization, communications, staging operations, general building maintenance processes and scheduling. Use of office related computer applications is required.
