Job Title: Facilities Project Coordinator
Department: Medicine | Office of the Dean
The Facilities Project Coordinator assists with the coordination of day-to-day administrative functions, operations of facility and security management for the College of Medicine/Office of Health Sciences (COM/OHS) involving a portfolio of 10+ buildings, varying from research, administration, and educational type spaces; Serves as a primary contact for, and provides regular communication to, faculty, staff, and students; Serves as a primary contact for, and provides regular communication to, faculty, staff, and students; Coordinates/Assists with renovation projects, physical operations and maintenance, access control management, equipment/access audits, and safety issues; Creates and enforces all standard operating procedures managed by the COM facilities team; Responsible for tasks associated with lab closeouts and refreshes, which includes but is not limited to communication with departments, contractors, and other contacts, as well as, contractor coordination, equipment disposal/Surplus, waste disposal, etc.; Reviews and enforces all standard operating procedures managed by the COM facilities team; Identifies, investigates/audits and resolves issues involving building safety standards and regulations including Office of Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and fire and building codes; Coordinates administrative functions including but not limited to, Workday reporting and requisition submissions, management of COM Facilities shared drive, as well as, reporting from various internal systems; Responsible for responding to afterhours safety and security issues (based on a rotating schedule amongst the COM Facilities team); Responsible for sending communications to varying audiences related to facility issues/outages; additional duties as assigned. Must be able to lift 30lbs and spend varying amounts of time on ones feet; additional duties as assigned;
Minimum Education & Experience Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
