FACILITIES PROJECT MANAGER IV
Scope of Job
To oversee and provide management support in all aspects of project management for the construction of all University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) facilities. Manages multiple large and complex projects with a focus on highly technical, mission-critical, and sensitive initiatives.
Description of Duties
- Leads and oversees a team of project managers ensuring the successful completion of various UTRGV projects distributed across multiple locations.
- Provides guidance and leadership to subordinate project managers through effective communication, coordination, and conflict resolution.
- Manages and oversees subordinate project managers in directing design professionals, campus departmental faculty and staff, and administers contracts necessary to meet project goals while maintaining project budget and schedules.
- Applies complex project control processes to track progress, consistency, risk mitigation, and to assure compliance with Board of Regents Rules & Regulations and applicable State and Federal statutes and regulations.
Additional duties include project planning, contract administration, procurement coordination, construction oversight, compliance with codes and regulations, and process improvement initiatives.
