Job Title: Facilities Technician

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with on-call responsibilities

Facilities Technician Pay Range:

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education and experience as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Salary: $17.75 - $22.20 DOE

At Klamath Basin Behavioral Health (KBBH), our facilities are more than buildings. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Technician who takes pride in maintaining safe, professional, and well-functioning spaces that support our organization and the people we serve.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, values quality workmanship, and can confidently manage a variety of maintenance and repair responsibilities across multiple sites.

What Success Looks Like

As a Facilities Technician, your work directly contributes to the safety, functionality, appearance, and operational readiness of KBBH facilities. In this role, you will:

  • Respond to maintenance requests and complete repairs efficiently and professionally.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and costly repairs.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and welcoming environments for clients, visitors, and employees.
  • Troubleshoot facility issues involving building systems, equipment, plumbing, electrical components, HVAC systems, and grounds.
  • Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance concerns before they become larger problems.
  • Prepare facilities for seasonal weather conditions and changing operational needs.
  • Assist with office moves, furniture installation, and workspace reconfigurations.
  • Maintain landscaping equipment, irrigation systems, and exterior grounds as needed.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Document maintenance activities and facility concerns through the organization's maintenance ticketing system.
  • Support facility security measures and ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements.
  • Respond to assigned on-call requests in a timely and professional manner to minimize facility downtime and maintain safe, operational work environments.

Schedule & On-Call Expectations

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This position follows a regular daytime schedule; however, facilities issues do not always occur during business hours. The Facilities Technician participates in an on-call rotation and must be available to respond to urgent or emergency maintenance needs outside of normal working hours when assigned.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate results through experience, reliability, and practical skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in building maintenance, construction, plumbing, electrical work, or a related field.
  • Experience performing facility repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, landscaping equipment, and maintenance-related machinery.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification, license, or trade-related credential in construction, maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or a related field.
  • Experience working with multiple facilities or property portfolios.
  • Knowledge of sprinkler systems, landscaping maintenance, and grounds upkeep.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, carrying, and operating tools and equipment. Candidates must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and safely access all facility areas, equipment, and workspaces.

Work Environment

This position works both indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and inclement weather. The role also involves driving between locations and responding to facility-related issues as needed.
