Bilkent University, Department of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture is a design-oriented program that bridges Urban Design and Landscape Architecture. It fulfills a unique and leading role in undergraduate urban design education in Turkey. LAUD's multi-disciplinary faculty and open, pluralistic attitude to education enrich its students with social, environmental and aesthetic values. With a multidisciplinary faculty and an innovative educational model, the department invites applications for full-time positions at all research-track ranks. Teaching capability that actively and creatively addresses contemporary and emerging topics in landscape architecture, urban studies, and spatial design is a core value at LAUD. Faculty members are expected to engage in cross-disciplinary dialogue, creative teaching, scholarly research, and service to the department.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate training in architecture or landscape architecture.
- PhD degree in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, urban planning, environmental design, or related fields in humanities, social sciences, or environmental sciences.
- Publications in refereed/indexed international journals.
- Teaching experience and capability to teach in one or more of the following areas:
- Ecology / climate / environmental design
- Plant material / botany
- History and theory of the built environment
- Basic design and/or urban design studio courses
