Position Summary: The Part-time Law Enforcement Training Instructor is responsible for teaching Criminal Justice Commission-Mandated Courses and Law Enforcement In-Service Training Courses as assigned by the Director of Law Enforcement Training. Adjunct instructors are provided a contract for a single term only. Each contract ends at the end of the term, and a new contract will be provided if the adjunct faculty is hired for another term.

Required Education/Experience: High School Diploma; general and/or specific Criminal Justice Instructor certification.

• Successfully prepare, manage, and deliver course content in order to achieve course objectives, accommodate diverse learning styles, and meet student learning outcomes.
• Actively engage students and provide prompt feedback in an objective, respectful, and effective manner.
• Communicate and follow course syllabus content in accordance with directions provided and administrative guidance.
• Work collaboratively with the Colleges support services to identify and address the students academic support needs.
• Utilize College technology for the delivery of instruction and completion of operational processes; this includes but is not limited to the Colleges learning management system, email and calendaring solution, document management system(s), student information system, and employee portals.
• Meet deadlines, including maintaining and submitting accurate class records, employee records/requests, and other assigned tasks.
• When applicable, ensure laboratories are appropriately stocked with required supplies and equipment is in safe operating order.
• Facilitate a positive, student-centered, and professional environment among students, faculty and staff.
