Scope of Job:
Manage the faculty credentialing process for UTRGV, including determining and documenting faculty qualifications as they relate to each class taught. Prepare, review, and/or revise assigned reports and documentation for submission to UT System, THECB, and SACSCOC, including administrative and non-substantive changes, new program proposals, graduate admissions changes, accreditation compliance certification and reaffirmation reports, and substantive change prospectuses.
Description of Duties:
- Manages faculty credentialing process, including determining and documenting faculty qualifications as they relate to each class taught.
Supervision Received:
General supervision from assigned supervisor.
Supervision Given:
Direct supervision of assigned staff.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Preferred Education:
Master's degree from an accredited university.
Licenses/Certifications:
Not Applicable
Required Experience:
Four (4) years of higher education experience, including experience with faculty credential review, accreditation, managing complex processes or projects, data analysis and/or drafting/reviewing reports to meet external agency requirements.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in accreditation report development, including faculty credentials documentation.
- Knowledge of and direct experience with SACSCOC accreditation requirements.
- Direct experience with accreditation and compliance in a higher education environment.
Equipment:
Use of standard office equipment.
Working Conditions:
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Office Environment: some travel and weekend work may be required. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which requires presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
