The Global Student Recruitment and Admissions directorate delivers marketing, student recruitment and admissions services in partnership with Faculties, creating strategies to attract growing numbers of students from across global markets, as well as from the UK. Our focus is ensuring the best possible student experience, from the beginning of their journey with us as prospective students through to enrolment so that our students can thrive in our diverse and inclusive community in central London.

As a directorate we are responsible for the delivery of student recruitment targets, ensuring cohesive recruitment strategies and planning from lead generations and attraction, admissions, through to conversion and enrolment. This role supports the King’s Business School.

About the role

Role Purpose

The Faculty Marketing team is the face of the Global Student Recruitment and Admissions team with internal stakeholders. This team plays a critical role in providing expertise and student recruitment and marketing support to our faculties.

The Faculty Marketing Officer will support the Head of Faculty Marketing in delivering marketing strategies and plans for the faculty.

The role will collaborate effectively with colleagues across the Global Student Recruitment and Admissions teams to communicate marketing plans, ensuring they are designed to support the overall delivery of recruitment plans and targets.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans and strategies, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of marketing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with the Market Research & Insights team to gather and report on insights, trends and opportunities related to student needs and preferences.
  • Assist in monitoring and reviewing the efficacy of marketing activities, providing regular reports on performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Global Student Recruitment and Admissions team to deliver cohesive and aligned marketing plans and initiatives.
  • Represent the student voice in all marketing initiatives, ensuring that marketing plans resonate with the target audience.
  • Assist the planning and delivery of events as required.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with external agencies and suppliers.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with marketing and communications colleagues across the university to ensure the delivery consistent and cohesive marketing plans.
  • Contribute to wider projects and working groups, as required.

The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.

This is a full-time post and will be offered on a indefinite contract.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  1. Relevant marketing experience at an appropriate level.
  2. Experience working within the Higher Education sector.
  3. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and build and maintain relationships.
  5. Ability to analyse and interpret data to make informed decisions/recommendations, produce reports and monitor progress.
  6. Excellent IT skills to support campaign delivery e.g., MS Office suite, SharePoint, and MS Teams, Power BI, presentation software and marketing tools.
  7. Able to work on own initiative, with good attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Desirable criteria

  1. Educated to degree level and/or relevant experience in marketing for at least 2 years.
  2. Experience and willingness in understanding and representing the student customer.
