Faculty Operations Administrator (Strategic Projects)

The University of Buckingham has a unique atmosphere, unlike that of any other higher educational institution. Despite being one of the UK’s smallest universities and the only independent university to hold a Royal Charter, Buckingham has staff from over 60 countries, making it a truly distinctive work environment. Whichever of our locations you find yourself working in, you will be sure to feel a part of our friendly community.

The Corporate and Professional Services departments are the cornerstone of the University. They each provide essential and valuable support to both each other and the Academic departments, helping the University to function in the most efficient and productive way, ensuring that the students’ experience is second to none.

The Faculty Administrator (Strategic Projects) provides high-quality administrative support to deliver strategic initiatives that enhance the student experience, contribute to improved NSS outcomes, support faculty growth and diversification, and strengthen research and knowledge exchange activity. The postholder works closely with the Executive Dean and Pro-Dean to coordinate and monitor key projects, maintain accurate action plans, and ensure progress against agreed KPIs. They will organise and service strategic meetings, produce clear and timely communications on project milestones, and actively contribute to project delivery, including digital improvement projects such as updating MedVLE content and student-facing information. The role ensures robust project governance, effective stakeholder engagement, and operational alignment with the Faculty’s strategic priorities, with a direct impact on the quality of the student experience and overall programme performance
