The Role

The Faculty Operations and Support Manager is a key role ensuring the effective day-to-day functioning of Kingston School of Art (KSA). The post holder provides continuity and operational oversight for academic School leadership teams, supporting core operational and support services across the Faculty. The role contributes to strategic planning, oversees operational delivery, coordinates staff and resources, and supports major faculty-wide initiatives and events.

The post holder oversees the Executive Support Office, ensuring high-quality professional administrative support to the Faculty Leadership Team (FLT) and wider stakeholders. The role also leads faculty governance, including the planning, preparation and action management of key committees such as the FLT and other KSA-wide groups.

The Person

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience managing multiple projects from inception to completion. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the post holder will have experience of working with senior staff and managing a team to deliver a high-quality service.

The role requires excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, alongside strong IT proficiency.

KSA, founded in 1899, is one of the UK’s oldest art and design institutions, known for its practice-based teaching, interdisciplinary approach and strong industry connections. The School offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees across art, design, architecture and the creative industries, and houses facilities including the Stanley Picker Gallery and Dorich House Museum, with close proximity to central London.

KSA is consistently ranked among the leading art and design schools worldwide. In the 2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject, Kingston University was placed in the top 5% globally for Art & Design and is highly regarded within the UK creative education sector.
