Research Fields : bio-instrumentation, mechanobiology, cellular and tissue engineering
In the Laboratory of Cell and Tissue Engineering, the successful candidate will engage in the development of next-generation bio-measurement technologies integrating advanced scanning probe microscopy with information science approaches, and will elucidate mechanobiological phenomena in cell biology, embryonic development, and tissue morphogenesis. The candidate will also promote research applying these findings to regenerative medicine engineering and related fields.
The candidate will share teaching responsibilities (lectures, exercises, laboratory work, and student supervision) in the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology and the Department of Information and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. In particular, the candidate will actively provide research guidance and advice for undergraduate graduation theses and graduate master's/doctoral theses in cooperation with the supervising faculty. The candidate may also be assigned general education courses (liberal arts, etc.).

Annual salary: 5 million yen - 8 million yen
Wages description: The salary will be determined in accordance with the regulations of Hokkaido University.
Working hours: 08:30-17:00
Break time: 12:15-13:00
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, National holidays, Year-end and New Year holidays (12/29-1/3)
Overtime and other explanations: Discretionary labor system for professional work. The working hours for a day is deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes.

Contract period description: 5-year term. Renewal may be possible based on performance review; if renewed, the term shall be 5 years, limited to one renewal.
