Reviewing of applications will begin on November 8, but full consideration will be given to all candidates who apply by December 6, 2026.
The appointment is contingent upon completion of the Ph.D. degree in an appropriate engineering or science related discipline.
Applications should include:
- A brief cover letter.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Relevant publications.
- A research statement describing research highlights and future goals and plans.
- Applicants should submit an education statement that addresses the applicant’s thoughts on classroom and laboratory instruction, mentorship of students and postdoctoral scholars, and ways to foster an inclusive environment for the development of scholars who come to Caltech with many different perspectives and experiences.
Salaries for professorial faculty at Caltech fall in the range of $125,000 - $400,000.
Questions about the application process may be directed to ee-search@caltech.edu.
The initial appointment for tenure-track positions is normally four years. Reappointment beyond the initial term is contingent upon successful review conducted prior to the commencement of the fourth year.
