About IAP:

The UM6P Institute of Applied Physics constitutes a dynamic community comprising faculty members, students, postdocs, and administrative and technical staff, all dedicated to UM6P’s mission as a student-centered research university. The institute's research focus lies in establishing advanced research and education environments, nurturing upcoming generations of physicists and faculty, particularly emphasizing Condensed Matter Physics, Nanoscience, Photonics, Nuclear, Cosmology, and Particle Physics.

About EPS:

The UM6P Engineering Physics School (EPS), established by UM6P, stands as a premier engineering physics school in Morocco. Over a three-year program, it trains physicists to emerge as future entrepreneurs, leaders, and professionals in the Kingdom and across Africa. The program awards an EPS engineering degree, and its education and research are developed at the UM6P Institute of Applied Physics.

Field: Nuclear Physics, Radiation Detection, Experimental Measurements

Experimental Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hands-on research on radiation detection in nuclear physics.
  • Design and execute experiments using advanced radiation detection technologies and systems.
  • Supervise students in experimental atomic physics, including data analysis and real-time measurement techniques.

Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Introduction to Nuclear Physics: Basic principles of nuclear interactions, decay processes, and radiation types.
  • Radiation Detection and Measurement: Experimental techniques for detecting various forms of radiation.
  • Advanced Nuclear Physics Lab: Practical training in radiation detection, data acquisition, and analysis techniques.
  • Experimental Methods in Nuclear Physics: Advanced experimental techniques used in modern nuclear physics research.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Nuclear Physics or a related field.
  • Experience in radiation detection techniques, including gamma spectroscopy, neutron detection, and scintillation detectors.
  • Familiarity with the latest nuclear physics experimental techniques and radiation safety protocols.
