Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Faculty, Rank to be Determined, Maternal Fetal Medicine - Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):

This position is critical to provide adequate, high quality teachings to students, residents, and fellows on the labor and delivery unit, as well as didactics and patient care, as we are severely short staffed with maternal-fetal medicine faculty. It is absolutely critical for the department, School and University to maintain the adequate number of MFM trained faculty to be able to deliver core teaching and mentoring to all our learners.

Participate in teaching programs of both internal and external rotating medical students, residents, and fellows. Publish peer-reviewed literature as author and co-author. Maintain a strong record of scholarship. Conduct collaborative and/or independent scholarship, which may include research in line with the goals of the department. Conduct scholarship which may include research to obtain funding for salary and research project support. Participate in service assignments. Administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

MD/DO degree required. Michigan Medical License required. Board certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine, valid Michigan license. Rank commensurate with credentials.
