The School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (SAIDS) at USTC is now accepting applications for faculty positions at all ranks. As an interdisciplinary and forward-looking initiative, the SAIDS is committed to developing world-leading academic programs in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science.

About the School

The SAIDS is led by Dean Weinan E, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Executive Dean Yanyong Zhang who is an IEEE fellow. Based in Hefei and Suzhou, the School leverages USTC’s academic excellence and Suzhou’s industrial partnerships. By harnessing the strengths of both locations, we aim to build cutting-edge research, foster technological innovation, and nurture top-tier talent in AI and Data Science.

• Full Professor (With Tenure): Candidates should have achieved international recognition in the general field of AI and Data Science, with his/her record comparable with a full professor at a globally top university.
• Associate Professor (With Tenure): Candidates must demonstrate a strong record of original research in the general field of AI and Data Science, with his/her record comparable with a tenured associate professor at a globally top university.
• Tenure-Track Assistant Professor: Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree and demonstrate a clear potential of research excellence in the field of AI and Data Science.
