Organization Profile: The TISS Tuljapur Campus was established in 1987 with the goals of promoting sustainable, eco-friendly and equitable socio-economic development of rural communities. Through its programmes, TISS Tuljapur seeks to contribute to the revival of the rural economy, society, and polity by encouraging alternatives in development. In order to achieve this, TISS Tuljapur has evolved a four dimensional programme comprising teaching, training, field action and research & documentation. It has built a strong team of multidisciplinary faculty drawn from social work, philosophy, sociology, economics, agriculture, anthropology, psychology, geography and other related disciplines. Presently, it conducts a five year Integrated BA-MA Programme in Social Sciences and MA in Social Work in Rural Development.

Project Titled: Evaluation of the Capacity Building Programme on Participatory Water Resource Management

Qualification:

• Research Assistant
  • A PhD/ MPhil and Master’s degree in Social Sciences with NET, Rural Studies, Development Studies, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline (55% minimum)
  • Prior experience in field work, data collection, research reports. Experience on water related projects is highly valued and desirable.
  • The ability to travel all over Marathwada region of Maharashtra to field locations wherever it is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Marathi are necessary.
• Field Investigator
  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Social work, Rural Studies, Development Studies, Environmental Studies, or related disciplines with minimum 55% Marks
  • Prior experience in fieldwork research or working on water-related projects will be a valuable asset.
  • A willingness to travel to field locations is essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Marathi are required.
