Job Duties: The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is interested in a Family Medicine physician to join the UW Health Beaver Dam Clinic. This physician faculty will provide the full spectrum of family medicine skills and patient care, with OB optional. This position will be involved in clinical teaching of medical students and other learners. This position may involve academic scholarly work.
Duties will include provision of clinical care of patients, clinical teaching of medical students and other learners, participation in clinical faculty call schedule (phone call only), nursing home visits, departmental meetings, and performing administrative duties as necessary in the position. Position may include maternity care and/or newborn rounding, as well as OB call if applicable.
This position may also include opportunities to work on collaborative initiatives within UW-SMPH and UW Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship promoting an inclusive environment with other faculty and staff members.
- This position is full or part time, 50%-100%.
- This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.
- This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
- Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, Assistant Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), Professor (CHS). The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health (DFMCH) at the University of Wisconsin is a leading clinical department within the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH). DFMCH is dedicated to advancing patient care, education, and research. Our 18 clinics provides primary care to over 175,000 patients yielding over 374,000 patient visits annually, and we train more than 150 residents and 300 medical students each year. Compensation: Negotiable, 12 month. Required Qualifications:
- WI medial license, or eligible for license by start date of position.
- Board-certified or board eligible by American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) by start date of position.
- Completion of a US Family Medicine residency by the start date of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.
- For an appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.
Education: MD or DO, or equivalent required.
