Offer Description
Activities and context: Development and validation of personalized assistive technologies for students with disabilities within the scope of CTAIE/UNIFESP. Activities: requirements assessment, 3D scanning, CAD/CAE modeling, additive manufacturing, materials selection, bench testing, and sensor integration; participation in functional and usability assessments and in the evaluation of the effects of the developed solutions on students’ participation, autonomy, and performance of school activities, thus contributing to the standardization of workflows and technical documentation; scientific manuscript preparation.
Mandatory requirements: Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Production Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering. PhD with proven experience in digital manufacturing, CAD modeling, and 3D printing; experience in device development and prototyping; experience in applied research and functional or usability assessment; proficiency in English for scientific reading and writing; authorship of at least three scientific articles; availability for in-person activities at UNIFESP and partner public schools.
Desirable requirements: Experience with 3D scanning, CAD/CAE, finite element simulation, materials characterization, and mechanical testing; knowledge of sensors, embedded electronics, or wearable devices; previous experience in Assistive Technology, Rehabilitation Engineering, Biomechanics, or User-Centered Design; participation in multidisciplinary projects involving end users; experience in usability and real-world impact assessment; publications in indexed journals; and experience in scientific writing in English.
