Job Description Summary: The Farm Coordinator will work closely with the Farm Specialist and Co-Managers to carry-out the mission of the Miami / IES Farm and to lead weekly maintenance, service learning, and volunteer activities.
Job Description: The Farm Coordinator will be responsible for mowing grass and watering and irrigation maintenance, including hauling hoses and drip tape. The Farm Coordinator will also support student projects and service learning activities by supervising students through farm maintenance tasks like weeding, watering, planting, and harvesting. The Farm Coordinator will also work closely with undergraduate capstones and graduate projects including the AmeriCorps EnviroCorps program to ensure volunteers are recruited and supervised during invasive plant removal events.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Must be able to lift 40 lbs. unassisted.
