Job Summary
Counsel students and parents on financial aid programs, eligibility requirements, and application processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial aid counseling/assistance for students and parents throughout the students' academic careers at Georgia Southern
- Assist with FAFSA issues, budgeting financial aid refunds, tax information and requirements, student loan availability and application processes
- Evaluate student financial aid requests and make award adjustments and recalculations on less complex financial aid issues
- Represent financial aid at University events related to enrollment management
- Perform outreach to students to prompt them to complete missing financial aid information
- Work with campus departments to ensure program efficiency for students
- Maintain knowledge of federal/state regulations governing financial aid
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
Required Experience
- Two (2) or more years of related work experience
Proposed Salary
$21.75 per hour. This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
