Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Administrative Services
Manager, this position provides administrative support for the
College and serves as the primary customer service representative
between the Dean's Office and the College's departments on
financial matters. Along with the Lead Financial Analyst, provides
support to the ASM in oversight of college funds for departments
and centers.
Key Responsibilities
Expenditure processing, tracking, and purchasing
Financial administration for CHHS centers, clinics, enterprise
activities, and community programs
Scholarship support and analysis
Administration, communications, and customer service
Financial reporting and review

Duration of Appointment
This is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status
granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending
date.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and
qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal
equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.
- Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $4,799
(Step 1) - $5,736 (Step 10) per month commensurate with candidate's
education, experience, skills, and training.
- CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary
Range for this position is $4,799 (Step 1) - $6,992 (Step 20) per
month.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This position is a highly analytical and service-oriented financial
professional with extensive experience in expenditure management,
budget administration, financial analysis, and policy compliance
within a complex higher education environment. They demonstrate
expertise in reconciling and monitoring multiple funding sources,
researching and resolving fiscal discrepancies, overseeing
purchasing and procurement activities, and ensuring compliance with
CSU, university, and college policies. Serving as a trusted
resource and subject matter expert, they provide guidance and
training to administrative staff, faculty, and department
leadership on financial procedures, expenditure processing, travel,
procurement cards, purchasing, hospitality, scholarships, and other
fiscal transactions. The ideal candidate is skilled at
independently reviewing and approving financial transactions,
identifying systemic issues, implementing corrective actions, and
maintaining effective records management and document retention
practices.
In addition to strong operational expertise, the ideal candidate
possesses the ability to perform complex financial analyses,
including multi-year trend evaluations, budget forecasting,
expenditure projections, fund performance reviews, and scholarship
allocation assessments to support strategic decision-making across
departments, centers, clinics, and community programs. They
effectively build collaborative relationships with campus partners
and stakeholders, serve as a liaison to university financial
offices, and provide clear interpretations of financial policies
and regulatory requirements. With exceptional organizational and
communication skills, they contribute to process improvement
initiatives, assist in the development and implementation of
policies and training materials, manage financial reporting systems
and SharePoint resources, oversee student assistants, and ensure
the timely completion of transactions and financial activities that
support the college's operational and strategic goals.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse
campus community. Ability to follow all university policies,
procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety,
civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and
procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university
experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years
of related experience required.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
• Peoplesoft experience and skills preferred.

Physical Summary
