Remuneration: $120,443 to $131,749 pa (HEW7) (inclusive of $101,775 to $111,330 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join Finance Business Solutions, Chancellery Division.
As a Financial Analyst in Finance Business Solutions, you will be part of a small team that provides assistance in the provision of costing analyses business case development and student load planning activities across the University. Working closely with team members, this role will be involved in services that assist with the development and implementation of initiatives that contribute to the achievement of QUT’s strategic ambitions, including the fostering of financial sustainability. The Financial Analyst position will undertake a range of activities including supporting business case development, student load planning and costing. This may include leveraging off available data on student load scenarios and forecasts along with business costing data sets.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree in conjunction with subsequent relevant experience.
- Proven experience in the use of enterprise wide financial and non-financial information for decision making in large complex organisations.
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate and connect with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders in a confidential manner.
- High level digital literacy skills in various software applications such spreadsheet, database and visualisation packages for strategic planning and resourcing purposes.
- Demonstrated high level time management and analytical skills with the ability to maintain and set priorities, and to communicate accurately on financial and project data in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
