Financial Counseling Program Manager
Summary/Objective
The Orange County Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) aims to improve the financial stability of Orange County residents by providing high-quality, one-on-one financial counseling as a public service. FEC counseling services are based on four guiding principles: establishing safe banking relationships, increasing savings, reducing debt, and building credit. The FEC is operated in partnership between Orange County Local Government and Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County (Habitat Orlando) FEC partners with many government and nonprofit social services in the community to help low to moderate income residents address their financial challenges and needs and plan for their futures.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, reach with hands/arms, listen, and communicate. The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds on a as needed basis and will occasionally be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time consistent with a typical office environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, salaried position and the office hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some early mornings, evenings, and weekends may be required.
Travel
This position involves frequent travel within Orange County.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, finance, business administration, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field preferred.Minimum of two (2) years of experience in financial counseling, case management, housing counseling, banking, nonprofit programs, or a related field.Bilingual: fluent – speak, read, and write Spanish and/or Creole preferred.Must obtain FEC certificate within the first 90 days and maintain annually; training provided by Habitat.Must obtain Anti-Money Laundering certificate within the first 90 days and maintain annually: training provided by Habitat.Must obtain Safeguarding certificate within the first 90 days and maintain annually: training provided by Habitat.
