Financial Planning Program Manager
Gardner-Webb University is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and passionate professional with student service experience to serve as Program Manager for student financial aid.
The Financial Planning Office is dedicated to providing students and their families with friendly, efficient and responsible services. We continually strive to be innovative in financial aid delivery as well as help support institutional enrollment and retention goals. This position serves in an integral office role by administering and processing financial aid programs to meet the financial needs of our student populations.
ESSENTIAL DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY IS TO SUPPORT THE FINANCIAL PLANNING DEPARTMENT IN PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting the administration, awarding, and coordination of aid while adhering to federal, state, and institutional policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the Federal Pell Grant Program.
- Administer all student loan programs (private and federal) for the university.
- Coordinate loan processing in Banner, COD, and ELM.
- Certify loan eligibility for Stafford, Plus, and Alternative loans for all students (day, goal, graduate).
- Assist with completing R2T4 calculations.
- Assist with special projects and recruiting events.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Previous financial aid leadership and experience preferred.
- Experience with Banner or similar student software and Microsoft Office products.
SKILLS:
- Knowledge of Title IV regulations, rules, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Excellent customer service and public speaking skills required.
- A demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team-based environment, manage conflicting priorities, and work under deadlines.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, and professional office, email, and telephone etiquette.
