In this role, you will support First Nations health teaching across all four years of the MD. You will coordinate teaching, foster community relationships and help embed Indigenous knowledge in medical education.
What you will deliver:
- Provide high quality administrative support to the Wurru Wurru Health Unit and related committees and meetings.
- Schedule, coordinate and timetable First Nations health teaching activities across all four years of the MD.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with Aboriginal health services, community members and First Nations organisations.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support effective communication on initiatives and community activities.
- Support recruitment and administration for teaching staff, including casual payments, compliance and related record keeping.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Bring relevant administrative experience and, ideally, tertiary qualifications or equivalent education and training.
- Demonstrate familiarity, sensitivity and respect for the diverse needs and cultures of Indigenous communities.
- Manage competing priorities effectively, using Microsoft Office to organise tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Collaborate productively within a team while also working independently with minimal supervision.
- Communicate clearly and build constructive relationships with academic, professional and community stakeholders.
- Maintain high attention to detail, confidentiality and impartiality when handling sensitive information and processes.
