Offer Description
The successful candidate will participate in fundamental and applied research in the field of applied mechanics. The position involves the independent solution of partial research and development tasks, theoretical calculations and processing of research results, as well as participation in the research activities of the institute.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- carrying out partial tasks within fundamental and applied research in applied mechanics;
- calculation and processing of theoretical results;
- participation in the preparation of scientific publications and presentation of research results;
- participation in national and international research projects;
- cooperation with members of the research team and partner institutions;
- performance of other duties related to the research activities of the institute.
The position is offered as a 30% part-time fixed-term employment contract until 31 December 2027, with an expected starting date of 1 October 2026. The minimum gross monthly base salary is EUR 410.25 for a 30% position. The final salary will be determined according to the candidate’s qualifications, recognised professional experience and the applicable legal and internal regulations of the employer. A personal allowance and performance-related bonuses may also be awarded in accordance with the employer’s rules.

Second-cycle university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in applied mechanics, engineering structures and transport structures.
Professional Requirements
- professional knowledge in applied mechanics;
- ability to perform tasks according to professional assignments;
- English language proficiency at least at B1 level;
- computer literacy.

- consent to the processing of personal data. The selected candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record, not older than three months, no later than before entering into the employment relationship.
