Offer Description
Within the project “Digital Centre of Excellence for Cultural Heritage: Innovation in Digitisation and Digital Exploitation through Cutting-Edge Technologies”, Funding Contract No. 3CoEx/2026, the candidate will support research and development activities by participating in the development, testing, and validation of models, applications, and digital tools used within the project. Responsibilities will include the processing and management of digital data, the development of models and technical documentation, the creation of support applications for research activities, as well as contributing to the preparation of scientific publications and reports.
The candidate will collaborate with researchers and members of the interdisciplinary team in the development, integration, and use of digital technologies for the documentation, modeling, and valorization of cultural heritage, in compliance with the project’s scientific and ethical standards.

Requirements
Skills/Qualifications
- Contribute to the development and processing of digital models using CAD applications and other specialized software tools;
- Participate in scanning, modeling, and digital reconstruction activities for the objects and structures analyzed within the project;
- Collect, organize, and process data resulting from documentation, scanning, and research activities;
- Develop and use software applications and scripts to automate data processing and management workflows;
- Contribute to the integration and use of digital technologies for the documentation, analysis, and valorization of cultural heritage;
- Participate in experiments, testing, and validation of the solutions developed within the project;
- Prepare technical documentation, research reports, and sections of scientific articles under the supervision of the principal investigator.
Specific Requirements
- The candidate must be enrolled as a Master’s student;
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics;
- The candidate must have advanced knowledge of computer-aided design and experience in using 3DEXPERIENCE, CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Fusion 360;
- The candidate must have knowledge of the simulation and kinematic analysis of mechanical and mechatronic systems using CAD/CAE applications;
- The candidate must have experience in modeling and prototyping using digital manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing and computer-aided machining;
- The candidate must have knowledge of the acquisition, processing, and management of digital models and data resulting from scanning and technical documentation activities;
- The candidate must have knowledge of electronics;
- The candidate must have programming and hardware-software integration skills using platforms such as Arduino, ESP32, or similar technologies;
- The candidate must have experience in developing and using software applications for the visualization, management, and exploitation of technical data;
- The candidate must have experience in the development and implementation of IoT systems;
- The candidate must have knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) design and development;
- The candidate must have knowledge of reverse engineering;
- The candidate must have participated in projects, competitions, or extracurricular activities relevant to robotics, engineering design, or digital technologies;
- The candidate must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills;
- The candidate must be highly motivated to work within an interdisciplinary team;
- The candidate must have an advanced level of proficiency in English.
