Job Summary
We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Food Service Supervisor 1 - Einsteins Bagel Company. This position supervises and participates in food service activities for EWU Dining Services in Einsteins Bagel Company and all concession locations. The position is a floating schedule to accommodate concession events.

The salary for this position is $45,768.00 (minimum) up to $60,984.00. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills.

Conditions of Employment

Physical Demands
This is a physical food service position. Candidate must be able to stand for up to 3 hours before a break.
Protective Equipment
University, local, regional, and state mandates for public and personal protection should be followed as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Washington Driver's License
- Current food worker's permit
- 1 year of food service experience
Preferred Qualifications
- ServSafe certification
- 1 year of food service supervision experience

Proposed Job Duties & Responsibilities
Major Duty: Participate and direct food service workers in preparation of food
Tasks include: Prepare food. Assign work. Monitor performance. Evaluate the work of other.
Percent of Time: 30
Major Duty: Maintain proper record keeping, work schedules, attendance and leave reports, accident reports; review reports and data
Tasks include: Create and maintain work schedules for students and food service workers. Maintain attendance logs. Create production sheets. Review sales data and product usage reports.
Percent of Time: 20
Major Duty: Ensure proper food handling and sanitation. Eliminates safety hazards. Ensures proper care and use of equipment in dining service areas and kitchens.
Tasks include: Clean and sanitize work location, equipment, utensils, etc. Develop training and assignments for safety and sanitation.
Percent of Time: 20
Major Duty: Inspects food inventory for proper rotation and storage.
Tasks include: Maintain inventory par levels. Inspect usage dates. Maintain proper storage practices and product rotation.
Percent of Time: 10
Major Duty: Requisitions food, supplies, and equipment
Tasks include: Using par levels and usage data requisition food from Warehouse and vendors.
Percent of Time: 10
Major Duty: Responsible for and directs setting up food service lines and food service procedures.
Tasks include: Set up service lines and food service equipment to provide meals in a food service location including concession stands, operations, and catering events.
