Recruitment Announcement for Foreign Language Teachers in College of Foreign Languages

I. Foreign Language Teacher Positions

Requirements:

• 1 physically and mentally healthy, no bad habits, abide by Chinese laws and policies, no criminal record (relevant certificates are required);
• 2 Native language is the language of the target country (English – UK, USA, Canada Australia, French – France, German – Germany, Austria, Japanese -Japan, Russian – Russia, Spanish – Spain);
• 3 Have a master’s degree or above and study language or teaching related majors; or study a major in liberal arts and at the same time have more than two years of experience in teaching related languages (relevant certificates must be issued), or have certificates such as TEFL and TESOL;
• 4 Age under 60 years old;
• 5  The duration of one contractual appointment is generally between one and two years;
• 6 The work content is mainly engaged in teaching language courses (speaking, writing, etc.), teaching specialized courses (linguistics, literature, translation, culture, etc.) in the above languages, reviewing and editing foreign language manuscripts and other tasks arranged by the faculty. They are not allowed to engage in other part-time jobs outside the university.

II. Teaching Positions under the Foreign Appointment System

1. Specially Appointed Associate Researchers

• 1) Be physically and mentally healthy, have no bad habits, abide by Chinese laws and policies, and have no criminal record (relevant certificates must be issued).
• 2) Holding a doctoral degree or above, studying language or teaching-related majors; or studying majors in the field of liberal arts, they should have more than five years of teaching and scientific research experience (relevant certificates must be issued), and have certain attainments in this academic field.
• (3) They should not be more than 40 years old, and their scientific research achievements should meet the basic requirements for the evaluation of associate professors of Wuhan University.
• (4) Especially outstanding small language doctoral graduates can appropriately relax the scientific research conditions.

2. Lecturers on tenure system

• 1) Be physically and mentally healthy, have no bad habits, abide by Chinese laws and policies, and have no criminal record (relevant certificates must be issued).
• 2) Having a master’s degree or above, studying language or teaching related majors; or studying majoring in liberal arts, and at the same time having more than two years of relevant language teaching experience (relevant certificates must be issued).
• 3) Be no more than 35 years old and have research achievements that meet the requirements of Wuhan University for the evaluation of lecturers or above.
