1. Introduction to Wuxi University

Wuxi University, which originated as Binjiang College of Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology, was founded in May 2002. It operates as a public undergraduate institution, having received approval from the Ministry of Education. The university is governed by the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province, managed by the Wuxi Municipal Government, and benefits from the support of Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology.

Our university is situated at No. 333, Xishan Avenue, Wuxi, enjoying an excellent geographical position. It is conveniently located near the core area of the CBD in the Xidong New Urban Area, Wuxi East Railway Station, and Sunan Shuofang International Airport. The campus itself is a modern, smart, and environmentally-friendly community boasting picturesque scenery. The total campus area spans more than 1,100 acres, with a built-up area of 359,000 square meters. We currently have over 12,000 undergraduates, nearly 300 international students, and more than 700 postgraduates engaged in combined training with NUIST. To meet our development needs, we are currently seeking to hire high-level foreign talents from both China and abroad.

2. Eligibility and Requirements for Applicants

(1) Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Technology, Internet of Things Engineering, International Economics and Trade, Electronic Information Engineering, Digital Media and Arts, or a closely related discipline.

(2) Applicants should be physically healthy, comply with all laws and regulations, demonstrate good conduct, and have no criminal record.

(3) Successful candidates will exhibit a strong spirit of teamwork and collaboration, along with solid academic skills. Proficiency in teaching in English is also required.

(4) Age restrictions for applicants are as follows:

• Postdoctoral or Ph.D. candidates must not be older than 45 years old
• Associate professor candidates must not be older than 50 years old
• Professor candidates must not be older than 55 years old

3. Compensation and Benefits

(1) The annual salary ranges from RMB 200,000 to RMB 260,000 (pre-tax), which will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications and teaching experience.

(2) A monthly housing allowance of RMB 2,000 (pre-tax) will be provided.

(3) An annual international travel allowance of RMB 15,000 is offered for visiting the home country. Reimbursement covers the round-trip international travel expenses (economy class) between Wuxi and the home country, up to a maximum of RMB 15,000, and is subject to the provision of required receipts according to the university’s financial regulations.

(4) Employees will receive a meal allowance and holiday benefits.

(5) The university will purchase accident insurance for foreign employees working in China.
